Elephant Ride at Amber Fort with Elerides: My Jaipur Adventure

Traveling is like meditation for me. It helps me relax, learn, and connect with new places and people. On my latest trip, I visited Jaipur, India, which is also known as the “Pink City.” Jaipur is a city full of history, amazing architecture, and beautiful traditions.

My adventure in Jaipur began with a visit to Amber Fort, one of the most famous forts in India. Located on a hill and surrounded by hills and a lake, Amber Fort is a mix of Hindu and Mughal styles. The fort has large courtyards, beautiful designs, and a rich history that takes you back to the time of kings and queens. But instead of just walking through the fort, we decided to make our visit extra special by taking an elephant ride to explore the fort.

The Elephant Ride Experience

Elephant Ride in Jaipur

Riding an elephant is a unique way to explore Amber Fort. When we arrived at the base of the fort, we saw several elephants lined up, ready to take us on a ride. The elephants were decorated with colorful blankets and ornaments, and they looked calm and gentle.

As we rode up the hill on the elephant’s back, I couldn’t help but admire the breathtaking views around us. The fort looked even more majestic from this angle, and the surrounding hills and lake added to the beauty. Riding the elephant gave me a sense of being part of something historic since this was how royalty used to travel to the fort. The slow pace of the ride allowed us to take in all the sights and sounds around us.

The experience of riding an elephant and seeing Amber Fort up close was unforgettable. It made me appreciate the rich history of Jaipur even more.

A Visit to Haathi Gaon (Elephant Village)

After our elephant ride at Amber Fort, we visited Haathi Gaon, which means “Elephant Village.” This village is home to over 100 elephants and is a place where they are well taken care of by their caretakers, called mahouts. These caretakers have often worked with elephants for generations.

Haathi Gaon offers more than just an elephant safari. It’s a place where you can actually interact with the elephants in a fun and meaningful way. We were able to spend time feeding, playing with, and even bathing the elephants in a pond. Being so close to these gentle giants was an amazing experience. It felt so peaceful to watch them play in the water and interact with their mahouts, who clearly love and care for them deeply.

Elerides Made It Easy

Our entire experience was made smooth and hassle-free by Elerides, a service that organizes elephant rides and tours of Amber Fort and Haathi Gaon. From the moment we booked our ride, Elerides took care of everything. They arranged the elephant ride at Amber Fort, making sure we had a great time. They also coordinated our visit to Haathi Gaon, where we had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the company of the elephants.

Elerides not only helped with the logistics but also shared useful information about the fort and the elephants, making our experience more interesting. I really appreciated how they focus on responsible tourism and making sure the elephants are treated well.

Wrapping Up My Jaipur Adventure

Visiting Amber Fort and Haathi Gaon was one of the highlights of my trip to Jaipur. The mix of history, beautiful architecture, and the unique experience of riding an elephant made it a memorable day. Spending time with the elephants at Haathi Gaon was both fun and relaxing, and I left with a deeper appreciation for these amazing animals.

If you ever visit Jaipur, I highly recommend experiencing Amber Fort and Haathi Gaon with Elerides. It’s a great way to enjoy the city’s history while also creating some special memories with elephants. Plus, you’ll be supporting ethical tourism and helping care for these wonderful creatures.
